Answer by Dave W
That will depend on various things, especially the ownership of the insurance policy. If the deceased owned the policy, the $ 10M will be subject to estate taxes. If the beneficiaries or a trust owned the policy, that avoids the estate taxes which can be as high as 45% for the US (plus probably more for state).

Answer by inyourface
Yes. Insurance doesn’t pay for everything. There are deductibles and coinsurance for specialists, and if it does they will still get some kind of statement or summary in the mail each time you go.

Question by aaron w:
Where can I Find Reliable Cheap Life Insurance Quotes?
I recently started a home world wide web based business. When I was just starting out I went without insurance for a while. Now that things are going well I would like to buy a life insurance policy.

There are a ton of life insurance sites, but most of them seem biased or focused on an individual provider. Where can I find a good life insurance quote site that is unbiased or gives me quotes from a wide array of services?

Also, are there any good tips for saving money buying life insurance for small business owners?

——————————————

Answer by LifeInsuranceAgent
Shop around for the ideal prices. Keep in mind that prices are based on your health, family history, etc..

When you look for insurance, only buy the amount you need and the term length needed to cover your needs.

Answer by mrjo_ct
Definately shop around, but do not use any of the world wide web sites. There has been a number of fraud and identity theft cases reported with world wide web insurance sites. Also, most world wide web sites are just lead engines that are forwarded to agents anyway.
Consult an agent or different agents in your area. They can go over what your needs might be and tailor a plan specific to you. That is something no world wide web site can ever do for you.

Answer by insguy
As a life insurance agent who deals with insurance day in and day out I appreciate your frustrations from looking at thousands of insurance sites. My site
http://www.smartlifeinsurancequotes.net addresses these issues.

The following are five of the most common mistakes consumers make when buying life insurance.

1. Selecting term life insurance solely because it’s cheap.
Shopping for life insurance by just comparing premiums is asking for trouble. You should compare company ratings to determine financial strength and policy features, such as convertibility options. While the policy’s premium is certainly a factor, ensuring that your policy matches your financial goals is more important.

2. Not understanding that term life insurance is temporary.
That’s why it’s called “term” insurance — because you buy it for a set period of time, most commonly 20 years. This is fine for a temporary need, such as insuring yourself until your mortgage is paid off or funding your children’s college expenses in the event of your premature death.

A 20-year level-term life insurance policy you purchased when you were 30 would expire when you are only 50. At that point, you still might need to carry insurance, but your age and health conditions might make it impossible or very costly to do so. At least, if your policy has a convertibility option you can get coverage, it just might be down right unaffordable.

3. Buying from a less-than-stable insurance company.
Don’t be afraid to ask about an insurance company’s ratings. You can also look for an insurer’s Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s or A.M. Ideal ratings on the Internet.

There are many insurance carriers with high financial ratings (A+ or better) so you shouldn’t have to buy insurance from a lower rated company. But, keep in mind that ratings can and will change, so ratings alone shouldn’t be your only consideration.

4. Buying life insurance coverage based on a set formula.
You might have heard that a good rule of thumb is to buy life insurance coverage equal to 10 times your annual salary or 10 times your beneficiary’s annual financial need. The idea is that if your surviving beneficiary invests the life insurance proceeds in the stock market (getting an average 10 percent annual return), they will have a steady income stream and never need to tap the investment principal.

While this formula is not a bad place to start, everyone has different needs, so don’t assume that 10 times your salary is what you need to carry in life insurance. The ideal advice here is to sit down with a knowledgeable agent that will take the time to learn about your needs.

5. Failing to regularly review your policy.
Is your former spouse still the beneficiary of your life insurance policy? Did you buy term insurance to cover you while you pay off your mortgage? If you refinanced during the latest rate drop and restarted the clock on your loan, you might also need to update your insurance term. Life definitely has a way of throwing changes your way. Just make sure your life insurance changes along with you.

Also when shopping on the world wide web for insurance be careful of sites that are there purely as lead generators because these sites just sell your informations. But, there are plenty of legitamte and trustful site on the world wide web than one can buy insurance.

You can tell the good from the bad by taking these steps.
1- do not put information in a from unless you actually get a real quote.
2- look for site that have a phone number with real agents that answer the phone.
3-If the sites states get quotes from multiple agents then the site is selling your information as a lead service.

Sites like http://www.smartlifeinsurancequotes.net can serve as an excellant resource to begin your on the web life insurance shopping. They have agents that you can talk to or email. You can get quotes from over 140 companies with a robust data base.
They are many sites like these but you have to do you research. Like anything else there is the good and bad and the world wide web is the ideal place to begin your search.

Good luck
Insguy

Question by curlyqsue80:
How can I find a health insurance company that will not deny me?
I have applied with a couple of major health insurance companies and have been denied due to weight, mildly high cholesterol and a condition I have called polycystic ovarian syndrome. Is there a health insurance out there that takes riskier customers?

——————————————

Answer by @#$ %^&
i do not see any reason for any health insurance company to deny you on the base on weight.they might have higher premium but cannot deny..strange…

Answer by Don
Find a local agent and ask him to do a pre-screen. Ideal case scenario – you might be eligible for a high deductible individual plan. Worst case scenario – you will qualify for the guaranteed issue, high risk health insurance pool, which nearly each say has. In Colorado it is called “Cover Colorado”, and the premiums are based on your income. Your local agent should be able to help you.
Good Luck,
Don
http://mtnhealthinsurance.com

Answer by Zarnev
Every company will have different height and weight guidelines. In my say some companies will decline with a BMI around 30 while others will accept up to 39 or 40.

The Polycystic ovarian syndrome is an automatic decline with several companies in my area because the cysts can cause weight gain and other problems.

Even if you can find a company that will accept your weight and also will accept the PCOS the combination of the two might be a decline.

Visit a local agent that works with all the major companies in your area. They agent can find the ideal chances for you and there is no extra charge.

High risk pools are not available in all states. Here is a website to see if a plan is available for you: http://www.cobrahealth.com/statehighriskpools.html

Question by Eric W:
What would be a good health insurance for me?
I am considered part-time where I work and its 150$ a month for health insurance, compared to 70$ for full timers. My wife was going to add me to her plan, (we work at the same place, but she is full-time) But it will still come out to the same per month as it would be I I just got it. I only want the insurance for a year cause then if my wife add’s me on next year, it will be like me being full-time.

So I want a decent insurance with a decent prescription plan. I was looking into Highmark PPOBlue.

——————————————

Answer by Cysteine
Health insurance on your own will be pricy. Believe it or not, work acutally pays a large chunk of the monthy premiums. Health insurance converage cost has just gone out of control.
On your own, you will probably be looking at anywhere from $ 400-600 a month for typical converage. If you take a high deductable you might be able to get one for about $ 150-200 a month.

Answer by AZBlue
The Blue Cross plan is an excellent idea, suggesting that you take a high deductible to lower your monthly premium. Many of your preventive care needs should be covered without having to meet the high deductible, and most Blue Cross plans cover prescriptions, office visits, and important care with a low co-payment.

——————————————

Answer by primericaisbad
The ALL pay unless there is a reason they shouldn’t… Inside contestablitly period and something shady happens…lied on the application, etc.

Insurance companies are held to strict standards and their state’s insurance commissioner doesn’t grant them to take in premiums and deny claims.

Answer by ellen
If your worried about CLAIM handling.. do not go with a company that doesn’t have an AGENTS OFFICE that you can visit

I work part time at walmart. I want to know what health insurance do they provide. What is the limit, hospitalization, deductible, etc

——————————————

Answer by jack of all trades
You’re part time. You do not have any health benefits.

Answer by Common Sense
I believe Walmart offers benefits to part timers once they have finished 24 months of service.
Limits, etc are all in the paperwork they will give you. Why are you asking here instead of your manager?

——————————————

Question by :
Where can I find cheap life insurance with no medical exam ?
I am looking for just some cheap life insurance enough to burn my body and give my ashes to my family .And maybe even give them a tiny money
looking for a flat rate where rates do not go up .
Life expentecy is about 2 years.

——————————————

Answer by Zarnev
The “cheap” life insurance without an exam does ask health questions which you must answer honestly or the policy will be rescinded. In addition, those policies do not pay out for the first two years other than a return of premium. If the life expectancy is two years it is too late to get insurance. You should have thought about this last year.

Answer by Insurance Pickle.com
Can’t purchase it for the same reason you cannot call Allstate when your home is already on fire. Save your money between now and then.

Answer by mbrcatz
Well, you are going to have a hard time. You can get a “no medical exam” low value policy through Globe Life or Mutual of Omaha, but you have to live AT LEAST two full years after taking the insurance out, before you die, for them to pay out.

Otherwise, just begin saving your money now.

——————————————
