Morning, kids.
There are a bunch of changes going on on the other side of this here blog. I’m tossing around the idea of starting another blog and running it in addition to this one. I’m taking my career much more seriously and — if you’ve been reading since circa last November — finally deciding to move past law and pursuing a path rooted in much more creative writing than legal briefs, motions and memos.
Actually, that’s why I don’t have a “real” post today. I’m running out the door in just a few minutes to an interview that is the second big step towards leaving the law degree behind. Even if it doesn’t go “as planned,” the fact that I’m doing it at all is something I’d never have believed if you asked me only a few years ago. My typically over-analytical, worrying self was so caught up in what this means and where I go from here that I didn’t write anything. And that makes it pretty ridiculous that, as I type this, WordPress is telling me I’m already at 150+ words. What have I even really said in these last few sentences?
Anyway, I gotta run. But since I hate leaving this place media-blank, here’s a visual aid. It’s a little sappy but some positivity today certainly won’t kill me.

I also find that I am able to say a whole lot of nothing in a whole lot of words. Except you did it so much better than I ever have.
Perhaps I should clarify. Your “nothing” sounded so much more like “something” than my “nothing” ever has.
