My blog is the same way. I don’t have a theme or mission either. I classify myself as a personal blogger so that means I can talk about whatever…whenever. I think I like it that way.

I love not having to define myself. One day I’ll be talking about mucous plugs, the next day I’ll put my For Serious cap on, and that’s? Okay.

So obviously, I love it here. Your corner and mine should have coffee sometime.

I’ve never been stuck in that situation, because I don’t tell people about my blog! I have made an idiot of myself trying to describe the kind of theology I study, though.

I have a pretty clear vision of what I do on my blog: I write about what I want to write about and the things that interest me. Simple as that is, I sometimes lose sight of it. I see what other people are doing and I want to do that too. I think about trying to be funnier or writing about relationships, but I would suck at both of those! Eventually I come back to my senses.

I like your vision. But it is so easy to lose sight of it. A lot of me wants to be something different; not abandon this, but add something different.

I hear you. It’s sort of like putting an “objective” on a resume, right? Like, clearly I want the job, but other than that, I have no idea where this is going.

oy, i hate that question too, because my blog is most definitely *not* anything cohesive. mostly i brush the question off with “eh, you know, just sort of a personal thing talking about the stupid shit that goes on in my life.” people who don’t blog don’t really *get* blogging without a “purpose” anyway – like a sports blog, or a tech blog, or whatever – so i don’t bother trying to get into it with them. i’d rather blow off the question than try to explain why blogging is fundamentally awesome.

So much of me wants to start a new project that has a really clear sense of self. But for now, I’ll just keep saying it’s about stuff.

My blog is my best kept secret, it is my “secret life”, no one who knows me from my “normal” life -whatever that may mean- knows about it (maybe one person, who actually caught me), so I never thought of it having a mission, mostly it is about writing when I have something I want to express without any censoring, whatever that may be.

Your blog, though, I must say, many times I feel like I go there when I need “wisdom”, when things like the train wreck happen, or the shooting in the Holocaust Museum, or the Disney’s black princess… Your blog makes me think, makes me wonder and makes me questions things. I love that. And this is why I keep coming back for more.

Thank you for that. All this thinking today really makes me want to start something new; something uncensored and clear.
